Latex & RUBBER Care

LATEX

PRE WEAR

  • All new latex items will arrive dusted in talcum powder to protect them from damage. This will wash off with water.

  • When dressing in latex it is best to use silicone lubricant or talcum/baby powder as an outgoing alternative. We have our own dressing aid available for purchase here.

  • Dress gently without scratching or pulling with your nails as this could result in tears and damage.

POST WEAR

  • After wear, latex should be hand washed gently in warm soapy water. Most dishwashing liquids are suitable.

  • Lay the garment on a towel to dry and wipe off any water inside and out and allow to dry completely.

STORAGE

  • Store latex in a dark wardrobe, preferably in garment bags.

  • Never store different colours of latex next to each other or with metals as this may cause stains, especially in lighter colours.

  • If staining does occur and depending on how badly an item is stained, they do tend to fade away after a few washes.

RUBBER

CLEANING RUBBER

  • Wet a cloth with warm soapy water and begin rubbing, working the cloth over the rubber. Rinse off with warm water, then dry off with a towel.

  • Don’t leave/submerge the rubber in water as this can damage the metal hardware.
