About us

A-D-Atelier is an Australian based Art and Design studio founded in 2016. We are a creative space of thoughtfully curated photography and latex fashion. Our photography conceptualises latex fetish art in a more tasteful and respectful manner that is accessible to a wider audience with an aim to normalise latex fetish positivity and inclusivity towards and of our community.

In 2022 we launched our very own latex fashion label. This continued our ambition to provide an accessible range of luxurious latex designs that accomodate both the fetish and fashion community. With the unique, stimulating qualities of latex we hope to inspire individuality and confidence.

The Collection is designed and handmade in our Newcastle Studio, NSW Australia.

oUR hISTORY

The genesis of A-D-Atelier goes back to 2008 when our founder Allan Duncan enrolled into university to commence a Fine Art degree at the University of Newcastle. already having an interest in fetish art and theory, Allan’s university efforts were primarily devoted to fetish/fashion photography and art theory. Between 2012-2013 Allan spent twelve months studying at the famed Bauhaus University in Weimar Germany where he further cemented his academic credentials.

Upon graduating university in 2014 with distinction honours, Allan spent the subsequent years developing the concept that became A-D-Atelier.

However In 2017 everything changed. A chance contact with a fellow alumni of Newcastle and the Bauhaus, Lily Ward saw A-D-Atelier go from an art project into a business devoted to empowering women which has remained the core principle of A-D-Atelier to this day with Lily coming on board as an equal business partner.

In 2020 we opened our first professional studio and had our first feature in Marquis Magazine.

Our current phase of A-D-Atelier. In 2021 Jasmine Croak joined our modeling team, initially just curious about latex and modelling. Coincidentally and not long after recieving her Diploma in Fashion Design this young, ambitious and amazing talent became a partner in A-D-Atelier as lead fashion designer after Lily who had devoted so much time, effort and energy into A-D-Atelier stepped back to devote her time to her young family.

By the end of 2022 A-D-Atelier had successfully started it’s very own fashion label and with Jasmine on board as a partner has seen A-D-Atelier go from strength to strength with further features in Marquis Magazine and a runway show in 2023 at Oz Kinkfest. Continuing the growth of a business that provides an empowering environment allowing young talented people to flourish, whether that is as a model, makeup artist, hair stylist, artist or general creative person persuing experience within a creative team.
